A Quick Note from Pitiful Central

I'm over at the new place today, thinking about birthdays and looking for suggestions on how to make the actual birth date special when you've already had a party.

In other news (wow, those broadcasting skills sure do come in handy), Teyla woke up at 1:00 AM with a fever. Even with Tylenol in her system, she's hot and whimpery. I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day playing mattress.

  1. I know how exhausting those days can be. Hang in there. My hubby is away right now also. I actually had a normal dinner though. My kids are older. Thanks for the reminder that I am so done with babies!

  2. Yikes! I know this has been a drainer type day. Will pray for you friend, that the sweaty babe will be cool and comfortable.

  3. Poor Teyla :( Hope she's better soon.

I would like those suggestions. My only maybe suggestion is that we don't give our presents at the party, we wait and give ours on her actual birthday.

And they get to eat fruit loops for breakfast. That alone is like winning the lottery to them.

  4. Oh I am sorry for Teyla not feeling well but oh how I miss my Mommy-Matress days as my babies get older. *sigh* I hope she feels better soon!

  6. Oh, poor Teyla. But, can you honestly say you mind being a temporary mattress? I didn't think so. Hope she feels better soon.

I left something for you over at my blog today.

  7. Sometimes those days (the ones you know from the get-go will not have anything accomplished in them) can be the most relaxing. As long as the baby isn't too sick...

  8. WOW, I could have used all of these tips years ago! My poor youngest child didn't get gifts or a party for the first 3 years of his life. But by 4 they start to figure it out. My kids love to hear about the story of their birth, look at their baby pics and watch the videos. That might make for a fun evening while you eat cake. Meanwhile I hope Teyla is feeling better and you are getting some rest!
