At least it's easy to clean.

I just asked my children -- who were playing quietly together with a few of Natalie's birthday gifts -- if they wanted me to turn on the TV.

Because without "Max & Ruby" hypnotizing entertaining my children, they would hear me on the phone, and I desperately need to call Toys R Us to inquire if they have any Kipper DVDs or Easy Bake Ovens in stock. Without an audience.

Such is the double curse of a tiny house and a loud voice.

  1. Oh yes. I've been known to go in the bathroom and shut the door to make such calls.

  2. Oh, she'll have fun. Easy Bake ovens are GREAT. Get ready to eat many, many little slices of cake.

  3. I have done that before...yesterday really. "Boo...want go watch a movie?". I needed to talk to her grandma about a shopping trip for her.

  4. At least you haven't started using the Andy Griffith Show to "entertain" your clan....my nine year old swore I was going for cruel and unusual television punishment when I brought his nose out of a book for episode number one...of course now he walks around saying "Uh, yeah, Gomer; that was real good, Goober."

And I'm more of a snoopy snow cone making fan, myself, but I think it's only because I end up eating way too many of those itty bitty brownies (forgetting they add up).

  5. Tiny house, loud voice(s). That's why the baby can't sleep around here!

  6. Max and Ruby.. now that is a cute show... but a little strange as well. Anyone ever wonder where their parents are?? And how come on one episode Ruby goes out to get a job?? I mean she's already raising Max.. and now she has to financially support him as well!
Clearly I have thought way too much about this show.
