You're Tired

My Mom is a genius.

All my life, she’s had one phrase that covers every childhood problem.

She would simply say, “You’re tired.”

    Love it! My mom did something similar, only it also resulted in sending me to take a nap, which I HATED. I could be walking around with my eyes closed, but I would never admit I was tired!

    What a lovely way to show grace. I heard a similar story where the phrase "that's not like me/you" is used. I feel that this is an area of parenting that I still need to work on - thank you for your timely reminder :).
